Loan Specialist

Grade:                Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule:            Monday – Friday (8am-5pm)

                            Saturday (rotation 8am-11am)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Loan Specialist to join our team. The Loan Specialist will be responsible for the preparation, accuracy, and review of loan documentation. This role requires strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a passion for helping our customers achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review loan documentation, ensuring proper documentation steps are followed.
• Process loan transactions, advances, pay downs and transfers, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of loan fund disbursement.

• Extend UCC’s, CREM’s and verify loan data within core banking system.
• Order real estate title work, appraisals, and other documentation as needed.

• Maintain collateral, security files ensuring their organization and adherence to compliance guidelines.
• Manage workflow documents while maintaining accurate records of loan tickets, approvals, and disbursements using our internal systems.
• Support business bankers with customer communication, correspondence, inquiries, files, reporting, and additional assistance as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to lending and loan servicing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field desired.
• Previous experience in banking, or financial services strongly preferred.
• Understanding of lending principles, credit analysis, and risk management desired.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan processing software.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
