JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accounts Receivable Clerk shares the responsibility for the Account Receivable Department. Provides effective and efficient lines of communication to all residents, responsible parties, and appropriate Southpointe Staff. This role is also responsible for Admission sign-ins. Assumes accuracy of patient paid accounts.
- Receives payment on account and issues receipt.
- Posts ancillary charges to resident account ledgers.
- Maintains daily and monthly census reports and submits to appropriate corporate.
- Assumes responsibility for admission and discharge records of all residents.
- Assumes responsibility for monthly Med A and Med B billing.
- Receives and sorts changes according to predetermined classifications.
- Maintains daily and monthly census reports and submits to appropriate Corporate and facility personnel.
- Keeps current on all Medicaid and Medicare regulations governing the admission and discharge requirement for Long Term Care.
QUALIFICATIONS
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of related experience preferred
