The Compensation Specialist shall be responsible to work within the established framework of the compensation strategy and philosophy to ensure jobs are classified properly and pay is based upon market compensation. The Compensation Specialist shall assist leaders in the creation of job descriptions and classifications and evaluate new jobs appropriately. Routinely, the Compensation Specialist will benchmark jobs and make recommendations on market competitiveness to Human Resource leadership. This position may have additional duties assigned as needed.


Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree in Human Resources, or Business preferred.
  • Working knowledge or exposure to a compensation program preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office products.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft products Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of PC hardware and software and related terminology
  • Basic mathematical ability to compile data
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast- paced or hostile environment
