Description:
Responsible for the management and direction of the float pool dept. and all clinical and non-clinical float pool staff composed of various job types(clerical, nursing, technical) (>50) that support Baptist Outpatient Services various product lines (Urgent Care, Off Campus Emergency Rooms, Doral Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Diagnostic Sites, Express Care and Infusion) seven days a week and currently spans across 3 counties. Ensures that all float staff exemplifies BOS culture and values as they float to the different sites.Develops and implements effective scheduling and staffing practices, interviewing and hiring various multidisciplinary staff members to be able to meet the staffing needs of the various product lines, while controlling OT and ensuring proper staffing levels during peak seasons.Conducts meetings, orientations, trainings and ensures that communication is disseminated timely to the float pool staff. Must be able to lead, analyze, problem solve, and implement solutions quickly during times of unplanned and planned staffing crisis/needs. Is responsible for effective staff management, coordination and prioritization of projects and support assignments. Performs diligent and timely staff reviews and provides on-going feedback to staff on performance and professional development. Estimated salary range for this position is $62697.97 - $81507.36 / year depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees: Bachelors Additional Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with evidence of thorough understanding of healthcare stakeholders, staffing models, scheduling best practices and leading others. Preferably will have 1-2 years in a supervisory/leadership role. Experience in global scheduling practices preferred. Must be a strategic and analytical thinker, have strong interpersonal skills, customer service, and written/verbal communication. Minimum Required Experience:
