What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Bartender position at Bar Enzo?
**Overview:**
Bar Enzo will be located within The Greats of Craft's new LIC location, tucked away on our second floor. Bar Enzo is our version of an Italian-American bar. An homage to basement parties at our Sicilian Grandparents' house in Queens.
We are seeing a skilled Head Bartender to help lead our new and dynamic team as we launch this exciting new concept. We are looking for someone that is as comfortable making a Negroni as they are fostering and building a tight knit team's culture.
You will work closely with ownership as we launch our new concept and bring it from concept to reality. As with all of our ventures, we look to foster community and bring people together through food & drink with warm hospitality. This is a tip-eligible position.
**Responsibilities:**
- Hire, in conjunction with ownership, and train team members to Bar Enzo’s standards of warm and engaging hospitality.
- Manage the team and hold all members accountable in accordance with guidelines and standards set by ownership.
- Engage with the community to continue fostering ties with the neighborhood.
- Ensure that Bar Enzo runs smoothly, efficiently, and beautifully.
- Have an entrepreneurial and owner mentality to not only monitor and operate the business but proactively seek to grow and improve the business, including ongoing specials and R&D efforts.
- Upholds quality control in all aspects of our business.
- Communicates and manages purchasing, inventory, and financial targets set with ownership.
- Go the extra mile to ensure a fantastic guest experience end to end, we strive to be much more than a transactional experience.
- Works with ownership and the General Manager to coordinate weekly orders, manage par levels, and proper rotation of inventory.
- Monitors and ensures completion of daily/weekly tasks, and shift summaries.
- Maintain the physical cleanliness and excellence of the space.
- Conceive, propose, and initiate solutions to improve service, customer engagement, storage and operational flows.
- Ensure an “A” letter grade on DOH inspection with assistance from ownership and the team.
- Obtain a NYC Food Handler’s Permit Card immediately if you do not have one already.
- This role will report to the General Manager and Ownership.
- This is an in-person role, based out of our LIC location at 10-15 43rd Avenue, LIC, NY.
**Skills:**
- Experience in bartending or hospitality industry
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Proficiency in cash handling and POS systems
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
