Barber DME Supply Group is looking for result-driven Retail Sales Associates to be responsible for all sales job duties, from generating leads to closing sales. Sales Associates duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer customer questions about our products, services and recommend the right solution. We are looking for individuals who are able to promptly resolve customer complaints, ensure maximum customer satisfaction, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals. To be successful in this position, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards.
Responsibilities:
● Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service
● Assess the customer’s needs and provide assistance and information on products and services
● Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
● Follow and help achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
● Go above and beyond to drive sales
● Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions within the store
● Maintain product knowledge and discuss available options with customers
● Process POS (point of sale) purchases
● Cross sell products
● Handle returns and exchanges of merchandise
● Build productive trustworthy relationships with co-workers and customers
● Comply with inventory control procedures
● Share suggestions on ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, increasing referral sources, changing up the store’s design)
Skills:
● Proven work experience as a Retails Sales Associate, Sales Representative or similar role
● High understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
● Hands-on experience with Point of Sale (POS) software systems
● Active knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
● Track record of achieving sales quota
● Familiarity with inventory procedures
● Strong and effective communication skills including written, presentation, oral and interpersonal
● Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
Requirements:
● Fully proficient in English
● Ability to pass background check and drug screening
● High School graduate/diploma
● US citizenship and valid driver's license compliant with state of residency
● Ability to work some weekends and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
● Bi-lingual (Spanish is a plus)
● BrightTree software experience
● Knowledge of medical insurance and eligibility processes
● Knowledge of HIPAA & FWA practices and requirements
● Previous experience in Durable Medical Equipment and/or Home Health Care
● Military ID holder, preferred
