As a Barclays FIF Architect & Lead, you will lead the Technology initiatives required to support Business Growth across all Fixed Income Financing. You will be working closely with Securitized Business stakeholders to understand the growth areas and come up with an approach to provide front-to-back Technology Solutions. You will also liase with various Technology and other support functions such as Risk, Finance, QA and Operations to deliver the Solutions as agreed with business stakeholders.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. What will you be doing?

• Working with Traders to understand and document Key growth areas
• Liasing with various Technology, Risk, Finance, QA and Finance teams to define front-to-back solutions to fulfil Business growth priorities
• Managing the Delivery priorities by closely working with Business Stakeholders
• Interlocking BOW across various teams and overseeing progress of changes through Governance and Working Group forums
• Guiding Business Analysts and Developers within Pre-Trade and RFT FIF Technology to deliver Strategic solutions
• Providing regular update to Senior Stakeholders in Technology and Business

What we're looking for:

• Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships at a senior level
• Demonstrable track record of leadership skills, providing clear direction to colleagues and stakeholders, ability to lead from front and also act as key team player
• Experience of designing and implementing a strategy and vision
• Analytical and logical skills - the ability to resolve issues in a high-pressure environment

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Understanding of the front-to-back processes in Fixed Income Financing business processes
• Knowledge and understanding of Risk, QA Libraries, Finance and Operations aspects of Fixed Income securities
• Experience of agile delivery in a data centric, regulatory environment
