Climate Risk Vice President – Internal Audit

As a Barclays Climate Risk Vice President you will be working collaboratively with others across Barclays Internal Audit (BIA), while developing solid client relationships which are independent and be seen as a respected voice. You will also work collaboratively with others in the BIA Climate Risk team to support the delivery of Climate Risk audits/ assignments as part of the BIA Audit Plan.

What will you be doing?
- Supporting the VPs/ Director in defining the appropriate coverage strategy and audit plan for Climate Risk, taking into consideration the Audit Risk Appetite and other requirements
- Managing audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified and appropriately assessed
- Reviewing and completing documentation of scoping, process understanding, risk & control identification, control evaluation and observations in BIA system (Assure)
- Writing high quality observations, working papers and audit reports (with input from the audit team)
- Providing complete, accurate and timely information for BIA reporting
- Proactively taking on additional tasks as requested by the BIA Director/ Managing Director
What we’re looking for:
- Good understanding of Climate Risk concepts and Climate Risk management
- Proven working experience and exposure on end-to-end audits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior stakeholders
- Postgraduate degree/ qualification in quantitative discipline or relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA, FRM, CFA)
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience working in a Risk function or Risk Audit role
- Project management experience in leading others in large projects/ initiatives/ audit assignments
- Ability to conduct complex work under pressure and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
- Climate Risk related qualifications, e.g. the GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk certification (SCR)
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
