About the Role:

The Project Coordinator (PC) position rolls up to the Project Management Office (PMO) within our Services team at Barcodes, Inc. (BCI). The PC will provide support for Project Managers who are managing projects, as well as manage their own, smaller-scale projects using the Barcodes Project Management Methodology.

The PC role reports to the Director of the PMO.

This is a remote role within US.
 

Who you are:

You are someone who likes ownership of project related support activities. These activities will be pertaining to the management and lifecycle of a project including Initiation, Planning, Design, Execution and Close. While these support activities are given by BCI Project Managers, you will also be able to own smaller scope projects to help you gain experience and prepare you for a Project Manager role in the future.

Someone with an outgoing personality and a positive attitude who is good at working in a team but also capable of managing tasks independently.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and execute tasks assigned by Project Managers, in support of customer or internal projects
  • Track time against projects/project tasks
  • Perform data analysis pertaining to project issues and/or reporting
  • Research issues and assist with resolution/problem solving
  • Run and provide project related reporting for customer or internal project requests
  • Provide backup for Project Managers, as needed
  • Manage smaller scale projects assigned using the BCI PMO Methodology
    • Understand project scopes of work
    • Gathering and understanding of detailed customer project requirements
    • Creation and management of Project Workbook, including RAID log
    • Creation and Management of Project Timeline and schedule
    • Creation and Management of overall project plan
    • Running and managing customer and internal project kickoff and cadence calls
    • Building out of project specific workflows
    • Identify and execute change management within project
    • Produce and manage all project related templates and documents as it pertains to the BCI PMO Methodology
    • Conduct project close and reconciliations
    • Provide reporting and tracking, applicable to customer projects and based on scope
    • Management of project issues and escalations
    • Management of project issues and resolutions

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred, but not required
  • Three (3) years of relevant project coordination/management experience or experience in a service support role in the same industry
  • Industry experience preferred
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and manage team workflow
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Process oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
