Requirements
- 1-3 years in a construction safety, construction administrative, or comparable role.
- Safety related college degree or equivalent field experience.
- Certified Trainer (First Aid/CPR, Aerial Lift, and Forklift). (Preferred, not required)
- US work authorization. (Required)
Abilities & Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to lead and instruct in a team setting.
- Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA standards.(Preferred, not required)
- Working field knowledge, including competent person training in confined space, excavation and trenching, fall protection, and crane lifts.
- Effective writing and communication skills.
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in the construction and safety industries.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. (Required)
- Ability to converse in basic Spanish.
Duties & Responsibilities
All work is done in conjunction with the Safety Director, assisting the Director with the overall development of the company's “Safety Program.”
- Prepares company safety manuals, site-specific safety plans, safety data sheets, and pre-qualification documents.
- Adheres to company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assists with administrative tasks related to project onboarding and site approval.
- Performs project safety inspections and audits, with accurate documentation in the company ERM program.
- Communicates identified hazards, company policies and safety procedures, and delivers corrective actions to field staff.
- Performs thorough post-incident investigations to ensure documentation and policy adherence. Articulates areas of improvement.
- Provides safety training to field staff, both on-site and at company facilities.
- Helps with on-boarding and safety training for new staff.
- Prepares near-miss reports, injury reports, accident/damage reports, project submittal forms, and other safety reports.
- Provides development, implementation, and training of new safety protocols and policies.
- Maintains ERM training records.
- Collaborates with the Safety Director with the review and improvement of existing safety protocols and policies.
- Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Safety Director.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
