Finance Specialist/Accountant - Back to Nature

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Finance Manager - Back to Nature, this role will provide financial support for the Back to Nature business, with a primary focus on the Supply Chain. You will provide accounting support for critical Supply Chain processes, including inventory management, freight and warehousing. You will also help develop and track Supply Chain KPIs and metrics to ensure sound financial performance.

• Maintain SAP accounting systems and processes related to Supply Chain sub-ledgers
• Assist with period close tasks including reconciliations, journal entries and cost updates
• Define streamlined processes and recommend improvements to maximize financial results
• Perform variance analysis and KPI reporting
• Support cost center and GL coding of expenses
• Partner closely with Supply Chain Planning, Customer Service and FP&A Manager
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Chicago and support external audit requests

• Ability to partner cross-functionally and understand the needs of business partners
• Ability to clearly communicate complex or technical accounting information to non-accounting partners
• Deliver consistent, accurate and timely results

What You Will Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in an accounting role for a manufacturer
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Logistics modules within SAP
• Experience with external co-packing/co-manufacturing partners preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, “start-up” environment with evolving needs
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Results driven individual with a bias for action and demonstrated successful outcomes
