Summary

The Customer Service Inventory Specialist is responsible for efficiently managing the inventory of parts and accessories necessary to support the service needs of our high-quality pontoon boats. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of ensuring that the right components are readily available to support our manufacturing service operations. This position is key in ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency of our service parts related support provided to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:
    • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts and accessories shipments.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic systems and tools.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Process internal requests for parts and accessories promptly and accurately.
    • Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that items are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
  • Receiving and Inspection:
    • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
    • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Organization and Space Optimization:
  • Organize warehouse space efficiently, ensuring easy accessibility to frequently used items.
  • Work with the team to implement space optimization strategies.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct visual inspections of parts and accessories to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Report any quality issues to the appropriate personnel .
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments, including production, service, and procurement, to fulfill their parts and accessories needs.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory levels, transactions, and any issues encountered .
    • Generate reports as needed for management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or warehousing is a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or parts distribution setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.
