Core Responsibilities:
- Collect and document functional requirements and objectives. Analyze requirements and find solutions compatible with existing platforms.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects.
- Integrate external business systems into existing processes and systems.
- Manage outsourcing relationships for 3rd party application development and programming.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications.
- Look to leverage cloud (Azure) to deliver innovative solutions to business problems
- Look for opportunities to leverage data to enhance business processes and efficiency
- Update legacy applications
- Explore Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT)
General Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in application development or in a related area.
- You must have a working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, web and client-server concepts, and be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- A high degree of integrity and ethical behavior is essential.
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with a worldwide IT team; ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; the individual should have an inquiring and analytical mind.
- Be extremely organized; demonstrate initiative and an ability to complete multiple assignments in a timely manner while working well in a dynamic environment.
- Strong project management skills with effective results focus within an information systems environment, PMP certification or training preferred.
- Ideally, the incumbent would have experience reporting with manufacturing operational data and costing.
Technical Systems Related Qualifications:
- Microsoft SQL Server stack development skills (Relational design, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, etc.)
- Expert level development and tuning of complex SQL queries
- Programming with .NET (VB.NET / C#), ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework
- Creating web pages using HTML 5, CSS and strong JavaScript development skills
- Azure experience preferred (Azure data factory, logic apps, etc.)
- API development experience a plus (Service bus, real time integration)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, 2015, 2019
- Create complex reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Related Field
- Experience and certifications (preferred) with Microsoft tools, cloud, web and desktop client programming. Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Integration Services, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services. Programming experience with C# and VB.NET required for the position.
