Manager – Contracts Administration (Risk Manager): This position provides leadership, implementation, and quality assurance of contracting and related commercial risk management support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and/or implement processes and tools to communicate, reduce, and mitigate commercial risk. Develop, refine & improve tools for contracting and procurement: ( i.e. standard forms, contract risk summary, etc.). Evaluate Company insurance needs and market offerings. Develop an operational understanding of Company business units, including site visits. (true-Craftsmanship)
• Verify agreements negotiated by Operations comply with company processes and best practices; verify that the contract risk summary prepared by Operations is accurate with exceptions noted. Assist Operations with review of change orders, claims, and disputes for active agreements. When assigned, in conjunction with Operations, draft and negotiate agreements with customers, vendors, and subcontractors. (one-Community)
• Direct contract administration within our enterprise system (routing & processing of contracts), managing enhancements with our outside IT provider. Evaluate and negotiate project labor agreements (PLA) – maintain listing of active agreements and past PLAs by jurisdiction. (full-Commitment)
• Understand and navigate state business registration, contractor licensing, sales/use tax requirements, and maintain a listing of key criteria per state. Assist Operations with applications. Obtain certificates of insurance and performance and payment bonds from our vendors. (high-Character)
