SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, will manage and oversee the warehouse activities of their assigned area(s)/account(s), ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The Supervisor will plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities.
The role works Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm. The salary range starts at $65K, depending on experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for adhering to and meeting the daily department goals in safety, sanitation, productivity, and quality and ensuring all area targets are met.
- Complete the day-to-day tasks relative to associate/temporary staff schedules, time, and attendance.
- Provide supervision and direction to the team as it relates to the day-to-day workflow for the assigned area(s)/account(s).
- Make recommendations for changes in staffing as necessary to meet demands of workload; interview applicants and make recommendations for hire; assess training needs; counsel employees and recommend corrective and/or disciplinary action when appropriate; and document employee performance.
- Provide coverage to other Supervisors accounts/areas and/or the AOM as business needs dictate.
- Responsible for ensuring associates are properly trained on all standard operating procedures, method observations are conducted, and documented per company standards.
- Articulate and/or address customer concerns and operational issues to facility management in a timely and efficient manner.
- Partner with other supervisors to balance labor and ensure the operation of an efficient shift while utilizing the LEAPS tools.
- Ensure all required documentation and system transactions (electronically and/or manually) for assigned area(s)/account(s) are completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining physical inventory accuracy at a defined company rate.
- Proactively identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assess warehouse operations continually to ensure the warehouse is neat, secure, safe, and well organized.
- Actively lead start-up meetings and effectively communicate daily goals, building, and company-wide information; sets the energy level and tone of the day.
- Communicate GGOB information weekly to assigned team.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED required; Some college experience preferred.
Powered industrial equipment experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment).
Experience must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of 3PL, Supply Chain, and Transportation, WMS system preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and warehouse management systems preferred.
Experience must demonstrate the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).
Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
