Description
***$500 SIGN ON BONUS PAID AFTER 60 DAYS***
The primary functional duties and responsibilities of the Pavement Marking Technician I include but not limited to:
- Arrive at Warehouse and be prepared to work at the beginning of the shift
- Meet daily production goals
- Follow work instruction to ensure consistent product quality
- Recommend measures to improve efficiency, product quality, and safety
- Feed 50 pound bags of thermoplaster into melter
- Perform handwork including; elimination of stripes and buttons, placement of hot tape and buttons
- Operating grinders, hand grinders, brooms, blowers and week burners
- Maintain temperature within range
- Operate fork lift on site for loading and unloading
- Notify Pavement Marking Crew Chief of any quality or safety related concerns
- Keep Pavement Marking Crew Chief informed on all ongoing activities
- Demonstrate initiative by evaluating situations, making decisions based on facts and solid judgments
- Perform duties in an independent manner with little to no supervision
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with employees
- Constantly look for and suggest ways to perform duties and responsibilities more effectively, what we call “Act Like an Owner.
- Perform duties in a manner that is compliant with all applicable regulatory bodies Texas DOT, etc.
- Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the Pavement Marking Crew Chief
Qualifications and Benefits
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must hold a valid, Texas Drivers License (with acceptable MVR)
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis
