Drug Safety Head

Barrington James Board & Executive Partners are collaborating with an ambitious oncology-focused company who are committed to transforming the landscape of cancer care by harnessing cutting-edge technologies and scientific advancements.

Having recently received a significant amount of funding in preparation for moving to the commercial stage, we have filed for FDA approval of an oncology asset which will positively influence the outlook for many cancer patients globally.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction across pharmacovigilance, overseeing the safety profile of oncology products.
• Develop and implement comprehensive pharmacovigilance strategies and risk management plans.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Prepare NDA safety updates, IND safety reports, additional reports, and product labelling/package inserts.
• Conduct signal detection activities, evaluate benefit-risk profiles, and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and other teams to drive safety initiatives.
• Represent the company during regulatory inspections and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, or a related field.
• >8 years of experience in pharmacovigilance.
• Oncology experience is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations, guidelines, and safety standards.
• Strategic and versatile to collaborate with different teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in interacting with regulatory authorities and managing inspections is highly desirable.
