Job Posting for Information Technology (IT) Manager at Barrios

Information Technology (IT) Manager
Job Locations US-TX-Houston
Job ID 2024-2474 Category Management
Overview

Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for an Information Technology (IT) Manager on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration (HSFTIC) contract at Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX).

Join the dynamic team at Barrios Technology as the Manager of our Information Technology (IT) Team. In this role, you will lead supervisors and their teams of employees who oversee both operational IT and technical offerings, as well as software development in support of IT services that sustain NASA missions which support the International Space Station (ISS), establish a permanent commercial presence in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), and will take astronauts out of LEO and to the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years.

As IT Manager, you will oversee team members as they build and update computer systems that align with the goals of the NASA organizations we service. Your team will develop, launch, and enhance the organization's applications according to the standards and objectives set by our best practices and the organizations. You will also collaborate closely with other departments to understand their IT requirements, needs and preferences and will evaluate, prioritize, and manage the build of the systems/solutions accordingly. You will also regularly scan and evaluate the organization's current systems to find any risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities. As IT Manager, you will then meet with the leadership team to propose and recommend any new software, resources, or solutions to help the IT team meet their organizational goals.

Building on more than four decades of experience in providing innovative integration solutions for government and commercial space programs, Barrios offers an extensive range of engineering, software, and related technology integration services in support of the aerospace community. As a woman-owned and operated small business, we are a people-focused company that supports professional development, while working to ensure that you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Barrios employees actively participate in the growth of the commercial spaceflight industry through our partnerships with companies leading commercial space development, as well as successfully supporting NASA as our primary government customer.
