Machine Solutions is privately owned by BW Forsyth Partners, a Barry-Wehmiller company. GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Tests designs and repairs electrical/electronic, systems and components. In this role, you will have a broad scope of responsibility from creating electrical test fixtures, to developing and executing test plans, writing test reports, and component level troubleshooting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with RF-enabled devices used in the medical device industry. Troubleshooting and design of circuits used in radio frequency heating transmission. Embedded designs analog circuit design, power supplies, digital circuit design, signal conversion and filtering, signal quality analysis, and frequency response. PCB design and experience with design software tools in (layout of different layers, trace width, via, component packages, pad arrangements, and surface mount technologies) are a plus. Assist in writing and debugging control system software. Assist with functional design teams to aid designers with tasks such as schematic diagrams, software development, and PCB layout. Schedules and performs product validation in strict accordance with standard protocol using management, production, and quality assurance skills. Oversees testing done by internal and external laboratories. Communicates with independent testing companies when certifications are required. Evaluate and improve production methods and processes. Reviews existing products suggests improvements and implements changes to reduce costs and improve quality. Must be able to travel if there is a need but no more than 10%. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, schematics, interconnects assembly and part drawings or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: With or without reasonable accommodation minimal time will be spent walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching. Some time will be spent standing, sitting, talking, and hearing, and using hands to handle, feel and reach. At times up to 50 pounds will need to be lifted. To effectively complete the tasks in this position the following vision requirements are needed: Ability to adjust focus, ability to identify and distinguish colors, WORK ENVIRONMENT: Minimal time will be spent in wet or humid conditions, and near caustic or toxic chemicals.
