Job Description: Reporting to the Concepting & Estimating (C&E) Leader, the Integrated Packaging Systems (IPS) - Senior Electrical Controls Applications Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of concepting and estimating full system production line electrical controls and will have significant involvement in reviewing and managing customer specifications. This individual will utilize their deep understanding and experience with electrical control systems integration, along with having a wide range of BW Integrated Systems (BWIS) product knowledge to generate optimal solutions that meet our clients’ needs while ensuring accurate costing for a given application. Job Responsibilities: Develop concepts and estimates for system integration and controls. Ensure timely support to the C&E, commercial, system controls and IPS teams. Full ownership of electrical systems applications and quoting, including panels and controls infrastructure. Management and resourcing of system start-ups, site audits and electrical installations at client sites. Partner with other OEMs to communicate client objectives to obtain accurate proposals that meet the technical requirements. Concept and engineer equipment and line layouts as needed. Create documentation to clarify scope and reduce risk, perform walk-throughs as needed to refine scope and define responsibilities. Develop complete proposal packages to be delivered to the clients. Partner with contractors as needed. Create applications package to handoff sold projects to operations. Maintain standards library for equipment layouts. Identify and analyze customer specifications as they relate to BWIS standards. Create supporting documentation for internal and external specification needs. Maintain standard library of specifications for various customers. Maintain pricing lists for standard and non-standard specification requests. Partner with other C&E Specialists (applications engineers) and production engineers to ensure consistency in meeting all expectations regarding specifications. Identify and analyze customer needs and complete equipment utilization worksheets. Develop complete proposal package as a deliverable to customer. Create applications package to handoff sold projects to operations. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
