What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perinatal Registered Nurse - OB - FT position at Barstow Community Hospital?
Under the leadership of the Unit Manager, Clinical Coordinator, and/or Charge Nurse (Nurse assigned to Labor and Delivery), is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing and providing nursing care according to the mission, philosophy, policy and procedures of Barstow Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consist of demonstrating and communicating exceptional knowledge and skill through a high sense of responsibility for his/her practice. Important dimensions of this position consists of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a fundamental nursing knowledge. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards, when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress..
License and Certs: State of California RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS ) prior to working. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Fetal Monitoring required within (90) days. Must have Basic Fetal Monitoring and update every two years. Must complete required departmental competencies within ninety (90) days of start date and than continuously on an annual basis.

Required- Associates or better in Nursing
