Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Workday Implementation Project Manager to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Establish clear communication channels and reporting mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.
Resource Management:
  • Identify resource needs and allocate personnel effectively to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as necessary to optimize project efficiency.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively monitor project activities to identify and address any deviations from the plan.
  • Escalate issues as needed and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables, ensuring compliance with best practices and client requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to capture client input and incorporate changes as necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build strong relationships with client representatives and key stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and issues, and solicit feedback to ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client communication and manage expectations effectively.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing Workday implementation projects, preferably as a certified Workday Implementation Consultant.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise software implementation methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed to client sites for project meetings and workshops.
Desired Skills:
  • Workday certification in multiple modules, such as HCM, Financial Management, or Payroll.
  • Experience with other ERP systems and enterprise software solutions, such as SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues proactively.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to HR, finance, and payroll functions.
  • Experience working with diverse client industries and organizational structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and innovation within project teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful Workday implementations on time and within budget.
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Security Clearance
  • Eligible to Obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
