Barton & Gray Mariners Club Dock Hand Team Member
Barton and Gray Mariners Club is the Future of Yachting with a fleet of 70 Hinckley and custom vessels serving a private membership in harbors along the East Coast and Great Lakes. This full time seasonal position will work directly with the Barton & Gray Captain’s team to support the day to day needs of the port including the prep and cleaning of vessels, coordination of onboard provisions, and inventory management. This position will work with multiple departments within Barton & Gray to facilitate the port running smoothly and ensure a high quality member experience.
The Dock Hand Team Member is responsible for:
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on the dock for the members and their guests
- Assist captains with prepping yacht prior to outings
- Assist captains with turnover and cleaning of yachts in between outing
- Inventory and stock all dock boxes and/or storage units
- Maintaining cabin inventory on board the yachts
- Tracking of provisions inventory
- Communication with Purchasing Coordinator regarding inventory needs
- Assist captains with catering delivery and/or picking up provisions from outside vendors
- Vendor communication & coordination with direction from the Concierge team
- Pickup and drop off of towels and blankets to dry cleaner
- Assist with overall cleanliness of the yachts
- Reports daily to Harbor Coordinator
Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Team Player
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Strong organization skills
