Dispatcher

Bartow Precast, Inc. is located in Cartersville, Georgia and manufactures precast concrete products for water, wastewater, and electrical industries. Our products include a value added installation service and are represented by distributors throughout the Southeast. Established in 1986, we are a family owned business that has experienced substantial growth during our 37 years of business.

We currently have an opening for a Dispatcher.

The Dispatcher will manage all scheduling and delivery of our product line. The candidate must be able to understand the capability of company equipment to load, haul and set products on construction sites and to work strategically to maximize payload while remaining in compliance; as well as developing relationships with supply houses, contractors, municipal contacts and on-site Bartow Precast teams. This position manages municipal purchase orders, including initiating and processing orders, as well as the task of handling cash sales. Job Responsibilities:

• Schedule/Dispatch precast concrete product deliveries to construction job sites
• Ensure load and driver are both state and FMCSA compliant
• Obtain any permits needed for deliveries
• Build relationships with our team of drivers
• Communicate with product line coordinator and production scheduler to maintain or adjust schedules as necessary
• Schedule new orders with contractors
• Communicate by phone to confirm delivery schedules and identify possible postponements
• Generate daily invoices
• Update matrix for scheduled deliveries and utilize matrix calendar
• Use product knowledge to quote and schedule cash sale accounts
• Manage municipal contacts and Exchange contacts
• Assist with updating website content
• Conduct customer satisfaction surveys or coordinate third party surveys
• Other tasks/duties as necessary

Job Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of the capabilities of CDL delivery trucks, cranes, and operators to load, haul, and set large heavy products at construction sites
• Familiarity with state DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance
• Willingness and ability to spend time in the field to learn precast product line, grasp technical details, and acquire knowledge necessary to read basic technical schematic drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with different personalities
• Easily multi-task and handle multiple phone calls, text messages, and emails.
• Possess excellent computer and data entry skills.
• Prior experience scheduling product deliveries is helpful
