Leasing Consultant

Position Summary: Primary responsibilities include leasing, advertising, resident retention, market surveys and office duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Marketing and advertising the community to maintain a high level of prospective traffic
• Showing apartments and processing applications for prospective residents
• Answering phones in a courteous and professional manner
• Inspecting vacant units daily to ensure they are ready to show
• Creating and maintaining a positive Community environment, including planning resident events and maintaining an excellent customer service relationship with residents and prospects
• Reviewing and updating unit availability daily
• Initiating and managing lease renewals
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, independent and able to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate ability to close prospective residents
• Possess computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office software and property management software
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality to ensure all essential duties are fulfilled to meet and exceed expectations
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must have a valid drivers license and insurance
• Track record of longevity with previous employers with evidence of growth within your roll
