Pay Range: $29.00 - $35.50

As a chemicals supplier to almost all industries, BASF will establish a standalone subsidiary dedicated to its Mobile Emissions Catalysts, Precious Metals Trading, Recycling, and related Products and Services business. The new group is referred to as BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions and is wholly owned by BASF. BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions will operate globally in over 15 countries and comprise of approximately 20 production sites and over 4,000 employees.

As an E & I Technician you will perform electrical, instrumentation and/or automation maintenance repairs including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, PLC troubleshooting, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of all site equipment.

During your shift as an E & I Technician you will…

Promote all aspects of safety to the E&I technicians and ensure all LOTO and electrical safety procedures are followed

Perform QC on jobs adhering to and instituting procedures to minimize rework

Provide technical support for equipment installation and repairs

Ensure that instrumentation PM's are completed per schedule and weighing systems are performing within the specifications of the process requirements

Gather and analyze technical data and recommend needed repairs or modification

Maintain all drawings current following equipment modification

Assist in the development PM programs for all new equipment

Assist in establishing or modifying work procedures including PM's to meet the demands of the site

Make recommendations to improve maintenance and production operations

Self-directed with minimal supervision

Operate, maintain and install complex equipment

Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration

Utilize a hand-held HART /Foundation Fieldbus communicator to diagnose and set-up instruments.

Effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Work a flexible schedule, including call-in and impromptu overtime on nights and weekends.

Requisition repair materials as needed

Provide support to other sites as required

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

If you…

Have a High School Diploma or GED & 1 year of experience in an Industrial Instrumentation Maintenance Industry

Associates Degree in Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation or Mechatronics, preferred

Intermediate knowledge of Allen Bradley, preferred

Experience with gas burners and associated control systems, preferred
