We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our plant outside of Dayton, OH. You will be responsible for the safe, quality, and cost-effective execution of maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and utility work. You will direct the activities of BASF and contract employees while removing barriers to facilitate work execution productivity, for Routine, Turnaround, and Outage maintenance. You will provide touble shooting expertise to support operations, and capital project activities. Additionally, you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement. The scope for this role is all mechanical, electrical, and utility work.

As a Maintenance Supervisor you create chemistry by…

• Partnering with key stakeholders to develop goals for execution teams. You will drive implementation, monitor effectiveness, and take necessary actions to meet objectives. Additionally, you will provide coaching and direction to ensure KPI's are met.
• Facilitating the execution of maintenance work processes and activities and providing overall leadership and direction to 12 direct reports as well as contract vendors.
• Ensuring personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors.
• Providing daily communications on the status of maintenance in the area, including job status information, incident/safety topics, production area information, best practices and feedback. Your financial acumen will be used to manage a budget of $3m.
• Identifying waste and driving continuous improvement to enhance the overall maintenance work processes.
• Maintaining accurate information in SAP as related to maintenance activities and equipment information.
• Performing first line troubleshooting, repair consultation, and support for crafts. You will also participate in or lead Root Cause Analyses.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• High school diploma/GED, Associate's degree, Bachelor's preferred, in either mechanical or electrical engineering and at least 5-8 years relative work experience in a PSM facility:
• Years of proven leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
• Broad based, hands on knowledge and experience with various types of mechanical and/or instrument systems.
