The Production Technician is responsible for conducting daily activities related to plant operations such as: Operating compressors, pumps, reactors, heat exchangers, steam boilers, valves, tanks, pressure vessels, instrument control systems, forklifts, hoists, flare systems, scales, lab testing equipment, computers, and other associated manufacturing equipment.
During your shift as a Production Technician I, you will

Handle plant operations including controll flows, pressures, reactions, temperatures, makeup of solutions from batch sheets and formula cards, transfer of solutions/batches, loading/unloading chemicals to and from tanks, trucks, and rail cars.

Operate and manage (troubleshoot) their respective areas and making safe, prompt, and effective decisions.

Handle various hazardous chemicals as well as identifying and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Cross training in additional production areas and supporting other members of the team in achieving a task or solving a problem.

Demonstrate sound judgment by adhering to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements while planning and executing a job.

Support and continually apply all Quality Improvement, Safety, Ecology, and Legal Compliance policies and procedures.
- Perform all necessary production/testing to ensure that product meets product specifications and tolerances for in-process product and release specifications for shipment of the product.

Have a High school diploma or GED.

Possess 3 years of applicable military experience (with Honorable Discharge) – OR 3 years of chemical plant manufacturing experience - OR an Associate’s Degree in a Chemical Technology Program.

Are eligible to obtain TWIC if needed in the future.
- Note: Applicable military experience would be technical experience relating to maintenance or troubleshooting; or experience requiring the buildup / teardown of facilities, equipment or weapon systems. More than 50% of the work to be performed outdoors, and must be Honorably Discharged.
