We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team as a Quality Operations and Continuous Improvement Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing quality operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing a team of lab technicians in a chemical company. Your primary objective will be to ensure adherence to quality standards, optimize operational efficiency, and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
As a Quality Operations and Continuous Improvement Manager, You Create Chemistry By...
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in all quality-related processes.
- Oversight and Management of the site’s warehousing and production coordinator activities including off-site storage
- Coordinating closely with the Product Transfer and Contract Manufacturing Manager and the site’s Trial Engineer to ensure Transfers and Tolling Activities are properly planned. Areas of focus would include setup and tracking of relevant materials, Quality oversight (specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), coordination of sampling/testing, etc.), and interacting with all relevant stakeholders including portfolio managers.
- Leading and facilitating continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Encouraging a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
If you...
- Hold Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience of at least 10 years in quality operations, continuous improvement, and team leadership within a chemical manufacturing or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (ISO, cGMP, DOT, etc.).
- Experience leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members.
- Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
- Certifications in quality management and continuous improvement methodologies are a plus.
