Where the chemistry happens…

This position is responsible for supervision of the quality assurance laboratory activities at the Attapulgus manufacturing site, supporting the FCC and Additive production and customer related processes. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading a multi-shift group of technicians and administrative personnel as well as coordination with the R&D and Process Technology groups in development of ongoing analytical support for manufacturing processes and external customers.  This position is responsible for leadership of the site’s ISO 9001Quality Management System, administration of the web-based documentation system (Compliant PRO), and administration for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as it applies to laboratory functions.

During your shift as a Quality Lab Supervisor , you will

• Provide team leadership and training for Quality Assurance laboratory staff in accordance with company policies, ISO 9001, Safety Standards, Quality Assurance analytical methods including development of methodology.

• Review, revise and maintain quality data which includes oversight of the LIMS for raw material, process, and customer related samples and SAP for Customer Certificates of Analysis.

• Support ISO:9001 Quality Management System including internal audits.

• Maintain lab/quality Forms, Work Instructions, Procedures, etc. in CPro.

• Initiate and coordinate, as required, projects regarding laboratory improvement, routine repairs of equipment, and maintenance of a capital plan for laboratory related items.

If you...

• Have bachelor’s/associate degree in a Technical /Science related field.  High School diploma or GED equivalent with 6 years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing laboratory.

• Can solve analytical problems and troubleshooting skills with an ability to quickly address and resolve equipment and personnel issues. Lean/Six Sigma training a plus.

• Own leadership knowledge of ISO 9001, proficiency in web-based documentation systems, analytical methods related to Fluid Cracking Catalyst industry, working knowledge of a LIMS.

• Are proactive, motivated, self-starter capable of working with limited supervision and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to lead and motivate employees.

• Posess excellent computer skills including use of statistical software such as Minitab or NWA. SAP experience preferred.

• Have the ability to work independently and deliver projects/tasks on time and within budget. Practical, working knowledge of chemical processes, analytical equipment, and general project execution is required.

• Have the ability to participate effectively in a team environment.
