We are looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join our Performance Chemicals team in McIntosh, AL.

In this role, you will use best practices from your experience to improve documentation, procedures, technical training and contribute to ensure the optimizaiton of plant processes. This includes improving process operating methods and process parameters, optimizing energy consumption and improving chemical yield.

Providing daily technical expertise as needed to operations and maintenance, as well as the global technology team, around troubleshooting, determining root cause, and resolution of problems to meet the sites production commitments.

Serving as manufacturing representative for strategic capital projects and utilizing your experience to propose and implement advanced tools and strategies to improve operating performance.

You will also be responsible for driving operational excellence by identifying opportunities for debottlenecking, yield optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement as well as assist with asset reliability planning.

Serving as a safety champion, you will drive risk reduction activities for all plant employees by setting a Zero Incident mindset, as well as perform daily observations on safe work practices, compliance to basic rules, and set high standards for housekeeping.

Being responsible for critical PSM/RMP/RCMS elements and processes such as Management of Change (MOC), PSSR’s, PHAs, Interlock and Bypass Procedures, Operational Procedures and Employee Participation.

Assisting with learning and development of operators, supervisors, and engineers by ensuring clear understanding of operating procedures, process changes, etc.

Have earned a bachelor´s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree.

Possesses at least 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in chemical manufacturing.

Have experience with processing equipment, control systems and thorough knowledge of batch chemical processes and data analytics.

Have experience with implementation of PSM/RMP elements.

Have excellent organizational and communication skills.
