POSITION PURPOSE
The Graphic Designer works independently and collaboratively on design and development of marketing materials, digital assets, advertisements, in-store signage, event designs, internal communications, and other collateral across a diverse portfolio of brands. The Graphic Designer ensures the proper standard of quality and visual representation of the brand and will also work with the internal creative team to ensure the visuals are working towards the overall strength of the brand. This position implements established brand guidelines while innovating and pushing the boundaries. The Graphic Designer also has multiple day-to-day responsibilities that are extremely time-sensitive and require a high level of attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. *Creates and prepares graphic design and marketing collateral materials including promotional
campaigns, in-store signage, social media imagery, website graphics, advertising, package
design, and event design collateral.
a. Presents design concepts and execution to cross functional partners in meetings and
to senior staff in formal presentations.
b. Produces assets that bring the brand to life, with consideration of design trends and
new creative concepts. Provides original, imaginative ideas, designs or artistic work to
support a variety of business objectives.
c. Applies standards from design systems and/or brand guidelines and contributes to
design systems.
d. Utilizes standard graphics art techniques, equipment and supplies.
e. Builds digital and physical mock-ups for presentations.
f. Creates or makes modifications to graphic images.
g. Maintains corporate identity, design standards and policies in production of artwork
and images.
h. Creates production templates and workflows for producing assets for mobile, desktop,
and any other place our brand surfaces across the customer experience. Develops
animated graphics and responsive designs for various digital formats including, web,
social and email.
2. *Manages multiple projects independently and streamlines processes to increase productivity
and quality of projects.
a. Generates design work plans.
b. Estimates work items and communicates dependencies and issues, as necessary.
c. Works collaboratively with other designers and cross-functional team members to
develop concepts and strategy, and to solve creative challenges.
d. Provides creative feedback, manages timelines, and ensures briefs expectations are
met.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design/visual communications or related field
- with four or more (4 ) years’ experience, preferably in retail and/or food industry marketing and advertising.
REQUIRED:
- Knowledge in developing creative concepts and campaigns that work consistently across various materials.
- Knowledgeable in current design trends.
- Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills, as well as a solid knowledge of typography, color theory, design systems and layout principles.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, After Effects, and Adobe XD.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- A strong understanding of print and digital processes
- A compelling portfolio reflecting expertise in graphic design, typography, layout, and general artistry, with a focus on retail applications.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Positive and clear communication style; ability to articulate ideas, voice constructive opinions.
- Ability to follow creative direction from verbal or written input, maintain brand standards and work collaboratively.
- Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback.
- Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness, accountability and outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and execute design production based on brand style guides to ensure on-time deliverables.
- Ability to define and implement design guidelines, transforming design concepts into fully fledged creative plans.
- Expertise in mobile and desktop optimized design practices.
- Ability to manage timelines and provide creative critique of remote designers and agencies.
- Ability to draw and illustrate.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is remote eligible. It is optional for work to be performed in an on-site normal office environment; requires occasional travel for site visits and meetings.
Salary : $47,000 - $59,500
