What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Tutor position at BASIS.ed?
We are looking to hire Student Tutors to participate in the BASIS DC three-week long summer advancement program.
The three-week Summer School Program runs from July 17 August 4 between the hours of 9:00 AM 3:00 PM Monday-Friday. The summer school program is open to the entire BASIS DC student body (5th-12th grade).
Tutors will be expected to teach and prepare BASIS DC students for their math, English, and science classes next school year.
Required Qualifications
Current student enrolled at BASIS DC
A valid fingerprint clearance and/or satisfactory applicable state background check
If under the age of 18, a completed DC Work Permit for Minors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Tutoring experience at BASIS DC or other schools
Patience and willingness to learn new things
Essential Functions
Use creative and effective teaching/tutoring methods to help students learn.
Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to heighten the trajectory of students' academic and career success
Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance
Benefits and Salary:
$1000 stipend
