MINIMUM 1 YEAR SCHEDULING EXPERIENCE IN A MEDICAL OFFICE****
This is a Full-Time Position. The ideal receptionist candidate would be someone who can manage in-bound and out-bound phone calls, is passionate about Dermatology, a team-player, and enjoys working in a fast paced & professional environment. Our office is conveniently located in the iMed campus, off of 75th street and has ample free parking. Basko Dermatology is the highest rated dermatology practice in the Naperville community and the surrounding areas. Led by a very talented and highly accomplished physician, Dr. Basko-Plluska, and a patient care team that prides itself in the best customer service, our Practice is committed to increasing our patients' awareness about skin health and engaging them in shared decision making. Responsibilities SCHEDULER RESPONSIBILITIES Answer telephones & contact patients to confirm appointments Assist the receptionist in checking in patients as they arrive Check-in patients, make sure all necessary forms are signed prior to patient being marked ready to be seen by doctor Log patient conversations via phone calls into the emr system. This can include new appointments, appointment cancelations and reschedules, according to existing practice policy Update patient chart and account information as indicated. Verify all patient insurance information is up to date in system and request copy of new insurance card as necessary Call new patients and verify insurance prior to first visit Check-out patients and collect co-pays, deductibles as necessary Maintain appropriate inventory of office supplies All other duties as assigned by office manager or physician Required Skills SCHEDULER SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM 1 YEAR SCHEDULING EXPERIENCE IN A MEDICAL OFFICE Proven ability in establishing rapport with patients, staff and supervisors Excellent grammar and communication skills Proven skills in handling busy telephone traffic and several office tasks simultaneously Cheerful personality Detail oriented, & professional disposition Familiarity with medical terms and spelling accuracy Computer literate Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and math concepts SCHEDULER EXPERIENCE Minimum 1 year prior experience in a healthcare office, hospital or other medical facility REQUIRED High School diploma or equivalent BENEFITS OFFERED FOR FULL TIME Generous PTO (paid time off) Paid Holidays Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Plan with Guaranteed Employer Contribution Employee Discounts Paid Training
