What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Manager position at Bass Pro Shops?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the Inventory Control Team across multiple shifts and overall building inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates and manages daily physical and perpetual cycling counting efforts.
Works with the leadership team to drive the building health reports and achieve desired results
Reports, monitors and reviews daily inventory adjustments and changes.
Resolves inventory issues/discrepancies both systemic and actual.
Conducts daily activities/analysis to anticipate and resolve potential inventory problems.
Works with building operational peers, as well as others on root cause analysis to solve operational problems creating inventory issues.
Develops inventory control procedures and best practices.
Acts as the liaison between the corporate inventory team, finance, IT, outside auditors and other building IC teams.
Leads, develops and mentors the inventory team.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
Years of experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years distribution experience in an inventory leadership role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Strong knowledge of distribution processes.
Demonstrated leadership and people skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
Ability work across multiple shifts to include weekends.
Manhattan WMS experience.
Ability to troubleshoot problems to identify “root cause” and achieve desired results.
PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to effectively communicate outside the building with Inventory Control Peers, Finance & IT Teams .

Regular computer work, walking, standing, sitting and lifting up to 50lbs
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Distribution Center-extensive amount of work in the Distribution center, not office.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
