What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mold Repair position at Bass Pro Shops?
General:
This position is responsible for ensuring production standards are maintained and work is done in an efficient safe manner. Repairs damaged fiberglass molds, using pneumatic tools and gel coated surfaces, using sandpaper or air power sander. Cleans and prepares molds for production by applying required coats of wax. Buffs molds to remove hazed off wax. Assist other in moving molds into and out of the mold area. Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Team Lead.
Tools and Equipment:
Air tools; buffer, die grinder sanders and spray guns and protective equipment such as: safety glasses.
Duties:
1. Inspect and repair fractures and chips in molds.
2. Ability to use
3. Maintain log book for each fiberglass mold recording repairs and each coat of wax.
4. Familiarity with solvents, resins, get coats, filler and different types of fiberglass.
5. Able to work overhead, stoop, bend and lift up to 59 lbs, and push/pull molds.
6. Other duties as assigned
