Trainer - Prairie Du Chien

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Trainer will provide training for associates including, but not limited to: new hire training, department specific training, MHE & equipment training, cross training, and retraining as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Onboards new hires and train them on our policies and procedures.
• Works with Supervisors and Operations Managers to develop creative ways to deliver a consistent training message to all associates.
• Conveys the importance of customer satisfaction.
• Trains and educates associates on power equipment while emphasizing safety.
• Ensures safety, quality and productivity of new trainees.
• Keeps detailed records of training sessions conducted and completed for and by all trainees and any issued certifications.
• Periodically performs the various jobs within the Distribution Center as needed.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Warehouse equipment experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Experience with multiple departments
• Comfortable presenting in a group environment
• Strong, proven leadership and motivational ability
• Maintains a positive attitude
• Possesses an ambitious drive
• Detail orientated Quality orientated
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of safety methods and procedures Equipment certified

• N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly performs computer work and sits
• Occasionally walks and stands.
• Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
