What you'll doThe NYCAMH Research Assistant I, Generalist will work Full Time, Days and acts as recorder at NYCAMH advisory board and other high level meetings.
- The NYCAMH Research Assistant I, Generalist assists data entry clerks as directed.
- Assist in production of slide presentations as demonstrated by timely production of presentations and materials.
- Assist in the production of manuscripts for submission to journals as demonstrated by timely production of presentations and materials.
- Assists Community Collaborations Study Coordinator in the collection of data in the field.
- Assists Study Coordinator in communication with agricultural community and study subjects.
- Assists Study Coordinator in logistics of recruiting and training contract data collectors and other consultants.
- Assists with data entry for ROPS project as needed.
- Assists with ROPS hotline as needed, and reports back to Project Coordinator.
- Assists with transcription of focus groups as needed.
- Assists as needed in creation of Surveillance newsletter.
- The NYCAMH Research Assistant I, Generalist assures timely data collection through scheduled phone calls to key personnel.
- Attends weekly research meetings as demonstrated by meeting minutes.
- Continues surveillance via newspaper clippings, and reports appropriate findings to Study Coordinator.
- The NYCAMH Research Assistant I, Generalist documents presentations and work related trips and activities in appropriate database tracking pool.
- Effectively assists with logistical coordination of data collection including preliminary meetings and focus groups as demonstrated by Study Coordinator records.
- Effectively assists with the production of data collection tools as demonstrated by Study Coordinator records.
- Independently collects, edits, and produces video documentation of field work per study protocol. Leads NYCAMH Committee meetings in absence of committee chair.
- The NYCAMH Research Assistant I, Generalist maintains accurate records of PCR findings, per Study Coordinator feedback.
- Maintains and increases knowledge of NYCAMH research and related technology.
- Maintains study files, study protocol books and hard copies of consent forms and data forms for all assigned studies.
- Mentors incoming Research Assistant, Students and Interns.
- Offers primary phone coverage as needed to relieve Administrative Assistant, or in his/her absence.
- The NYCAMH Research Assistant I, Generalist participates in NYCAMH general activities including staff meetings and committees.
- Performs other duties as requested and observed by manager or supervisor.
- Prepares and submits abstracts to State and National level meetings.
- Presents research findings as requested at State and National level meetings.
- Processes incoming data from multiple sources per study protocol.
- Provides all NYCAMH/Healthworks cores with assistance as requested by NYCAMH Manager.
- Provides significant support for the preparation of Grant applications as directed by NYCAMH leadership.
- Support Study Coordinator with data entry, editing and creation of reports.
- Timely processing of PCR reports, under direction of Study Coordinator.
- Works collaboratively with other study staff and Principle Investigator in communication with agricultural community.
What we need from youExperience:
- Agricultural experience.
- Spanish language extremely useful.
- Communicates well with NYCAMH staff, farmers, health center staff and patients, government agencies, other research professionals, the agricultural community, and the general public.
