Responsibilities:
The Practice Manager II will work Full Time, Days and has the responsibility for combination of the following criteria, minimum of two of five:
    • Budget responsibility greater than or equal to $5m and less than or equal to $10m.
    • Responsibility for multiple professional cost centers, divisions and/or sites.
    • Directly responsible for a multispecialty facility that supports more than one BMG department.
    • FTE responsibility is greater than or equal to 25.0 FTE.
    • Practitioner responsibility is greater than or equal to 10.0 FTE.
  • The Practice Manager, in collaboration with the Administrative or Senior Director, develops and accomplishes objectives, strategies and tactics for the practices with special emphasis on Annually Operating Plan Objectives.
  • The Practice Manager manages staffing plan and clinic operations at the practices, partnering with the Nurse Manager.
  • The Practice Manager establishes timely and effective communications with staff to keep them aware of important corporate, divisional and departmental information and to receive information and insights from them across all practice locations in an effort to engage staff and support a sense of "belonging" in the network and with the organization.
  • The Practice Manager communicates in a timely manner, as needed, regarding all issues relevant for Director's input, decision, knowledge.
  • Accepts responsibility for all aspects of leadership without blame, complaining or procrastination.
  • The Practice Manager manages all day-to-day operations of assigned practice locations, cost centers, including staff schedules, daily workflow, access, coordination of services.
  • Clinic and cost center assignments.
  • Budget responsibility.
  • Program responsibility.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare field required.
  • Associates degree in business or healthcare field may be considered with an additional 2 years of below experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent may be considered with an additional 4 years of below experience.
  • Master's degree in business or healthcare field may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Three years of management experience required.
Licensure/Certificates:
  • NYS Driver's license required.
  • MGMA CMPE preferred.
Skills:
  • An understanding of leadership, management and solid interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to foster interdisciplinary and collegial relationships with all levels of management, with clinical providers and with staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a matrix leadership team at all levels of interaction within a highly complex organizational structure.
  • Ability to precept and mentor other staff members.
  • Strong facilitation skills and teambuilding skills MS Office skills required (includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Databases and business analytic skills preferred.
  • Patient-focused philosophy of care delivery and supporting operations.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage in a fast paced, demanding environment with a sound thought process and composure.
  • Some Knowledge of medical management systems, tools and resources: IDX, EMR, practice management benchmarking tools, practice management data sources (i.e. MGMA, journals, etc.), call center technology and complex phone systems.
