Your Role at Batesville:
As a Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing the enterprise architecture strategy to ensure that our organization's technology systems, applications, and infrastructure align with our business goals and objectives. This role involves providing leadership, technical expertise, and strategic direction to optimize IT investments, drive innovation, and improve efficiency.

What You’ll Do:
- Enterprise Architecture Strategy: Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture strategy that aligns with the organization's business strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Technology Roadmap: Create and manage a technology roadmap that outlines the evolution of the organization's technology infrastructure and applications, including migration plans and technology adoption strategies.
- Standards and Best Practices: Define and enforce technology standards, best practices, and architectural principles to ensure consistency and quality across the organization's IT landscape.
- Alignment with Business Goals: Collaborate closely with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions that drive business growth and competitiveness.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the architecture team, ensuring that they design and implement solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with architectural standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the technology architecture and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
- Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate their potential impact on the organization and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select technology vendors and solutions that align with the enterprise architecture strategy. Manage vendor relationships and contracts effectively.
- Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the enterprise architecture budget and allocate resources effectively to support architecture initiatives.
- Communication and Education: Foster a culture of understanding and awareness of enterprise architecture principles and best practices throughout the organization. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Performance Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the enterprise architecture function. Continuously assess and optimize the architecture.
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in computer science, information technology, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred; and a minimum of 10 years in IT related fields, including architecture and leadership roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and IT trends.
- Project management experience is desirable.
- Strong understanding and proficiency of enterprise architecture frameworks, modeling tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
