Job Posting for Courier at Bath Community Hospital
Bath Community Hospital is a patient-focused small hospital in rural Virginia that offers excellent working conditions, a team environment, and opportunities for professional development. The courier is responsible for daily transportation of supplies, projects, materials, specimens and medications between Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs and the Bath Community Physicians Groups in Millboro and Covington.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge and training in HIPAA
- Operate vehicle for the delivery of supplies, products and materials
- Take instructions from hospital or lab and pharmacy personnel related to transporting specimens, drugs, test results and other medical documents, as well as deposits.
- Ensure that all specimens, medicines or documents are properly secured in the vehicle
- Make sure that items that need to be kept at a cold temperature are handled accordingly
- Deliver items to the destination and to the appropriate receiving person in a timely manner and ensure its safety
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet BCH insurance driving requirements
- Maintain necessary insurance on your vehicle(s)
- Clean driving record from DMV
