Job Description:
We're seeking a dedicated Clinic Nurse to join our team and provide high-quality care to our patients. As a Clinic Nurse, you'll play a crucial role in delivering patient-centered services and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Your responsibilities will include:
- Support clinic manager in maintaining compliance with BCH protocols, policies, and procedures, fostering a customer service-oriented approach.
- Lead clinic efforts to achieve objectives, patient satisfaction, and quality measures.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance guidelines and regulations.
- Train and evaluate clinical staff to enhance performance and development.
- Manage direct patient care, including triage, lab tests, and scheduling.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills, fostering teamwork.
- Maintain flexibility in work schedule.
- Ensure patient and environmental safety, adhering to infection control guidelines and using personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educate patients, and maintain accurate records.
- Manage clinic flow and assist with operations, including appointment scheduling and inventory management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide support to colleagues and demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion in all interactions.
- Function well under stressful situations and remain flexible and organized.
- Participate in educational activities to develop and maintain skills.
- Attend department and hospital meetings as required.
- Comply with all BCH policies and procedures and professional licensure criteria.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience working in a clinic or ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the clinic for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
- Visual and auditory acuity to assess patient conditions and communicate effectively.
- Manual dexterity to perform nursing procedures and administer medications.
Working Conditions: The Lead Nurse will primarily work in a clinic or outpatient setting, with occasional exposure to infectious diseases and other hazards. Occasionally, may be required to travel to all clinics.
