Quality Assurance Technician/Food Manufacturing

The QA Technician is responsible for monitoring critical control points (CCPs) in the production of ready to eat meat products. The QA Technician reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. Key components of the position include:

  • Sample and test products in the drying room for pH and water activity
  • Ensures substandard product is retained until corrected or rejected.
  • Ensure sanitary standards are upheld through pre-operating inspections and monitoring of the plant.
  • Works with supervisors and associates to ensure USDA regulations are met and followed.
  • Ability to follow directions and repeat assigned tasks with consistent quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates.
  • Fluent in the English language (speaking, reading, writing & comprehension)
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time in a variety of temperatures.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to be flexible in work schedule including working overtime and weekends if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
