Under general direction from the Associate Creative Director, the Graphic Designer is responsible for the design and production of a variety of marketing and advertising deliverables. This position requires a full range of knowledge of the graphic design process from idea generation, design and implementation to full mechanical and print production across collateral, packaging, catalogs, advertising, sales materials and digital assets which creatively and consistently reflect Cascade Maverik’s brand identity. This person should have experience in both product marketing and brand storytelling and be on top of cultural and industry trends. They should be a team player who excels in conceptual thinking, able to generate out-of-the-box 360° campaigns.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provides design implementation and production of different types of collateral, new product launches and high-visibility sponsorship campaigns.
- Collaborates with marketing and creative team members to bring campaigns to life.
- Generates new ideas to promote both our product and brand storytelling.
- Helps design/develop trade show signage, sales collateral, brochures, html emails and landing pages and web graphics.
- Ensures that design and copy comply with printing and web industry standards.
- Maintains Cascade Maverik brand standards across multiple mediums (colors, fonts, imagery).
- Manages a large database of images, including color correction, retouching and resizing.
- Produces original, thoughtful and clean graphic designs under tight deadlines and adheres to brand guidelines.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA in Design or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
- 5-7 years of graphic design experience working within a design firm or other creative team environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating a breadth of exceptional, original and stylistic design that conveys strong conceptual thinking, sensitivity for typographic and graphic design and an unwavering attention to detail.
- Experience, energy, talent, commitment, creative edge and a passion for the brand with proven experience working within the specifications of a brand style-guide.
- Must be flexible and able to focus on a wide range of projects simultaneously. Self-motivated problem-solver capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- A team player with collaborative skills, open to creative direction while possessing a strong personal point of view. Strong presentation, listening and communication skills.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of working with and managing outside vendors.
- Must be proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word and Powerpoint. (Dreamweaver a plus.) Should also be proficient in HTML, CSS along with flash and video editing skills. Experience with color correction and image database management is required. Digital photography experience is a plus.
