Position required to be on-site in Chattanooga, TN supporting a Bausch Health Third Party Logistics Center

Position summary:

Key leader in the Quality organization responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining Quality Systems in support of a third-party distributor to assure compliance with FDA, ISO, country specific and Bausch Health requirements for the distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, nutritionals, and cosmetics.

Key responsbilities:

Responsible for ensuring that the site maintains an acceptable level of compliance with the Bausch Health Quality program, and all relevant regulations (domestic and international) with which the sites must comply.

Supervision/management responsibility for assigned Quality staff.

Management oversight of the following site quality systems: Documentation, change control, non-conformance/CAPA, training, internal auditing, management review, supplier quality, incoming receiving/inspection, validation, and, complaint handling.

Coordinates activities of the various functional areas whenever a critical quality issue is discovered.

Keeps senior management updated on all major compliance issues that occur and proposes solutions with action plans to resolve the issues.

Maintenance and reporting of Quality metrics to senior management.

Provides direction and coordination of quality activities utilizing continuous quality improvement principles and methodologies.

Qualifications and experience:

BS in Engineering or applicable scientific discipline (MS/MBA desirable)

A minimum of8 years in the FDA-regulated industry preferable in the pharmaceutical field, and 3 years supervisory experience over professional-level individuals.

Working knowledge and hands on experience of FDA regulations including interacting with external agencies.

Demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining quality systems with emphasis on working with third-party suppliers.

ASQ certification (CQA, CQE, CQM, SSBB) desirable.

Extensive experience using and managing quality systems such as: document mgt., change mgt., training, non-conformance/CAPA mgt. and, complaint handling.

Experience with logistics systems for inventory control, distribution and serialization.

Experience with transportation of temperature sensitive products.

Expertise in providing creative solutions to complex issues.
