The Microsoft Office 365 Solution Architect will utilize expert level experience and knowledge of Office 365 architecture, administration and best practice recommendations combined with a strong current and deep experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Office Communications Server( Teams ), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, OneDrive , Active Directory, and Forefront Identity Manager, to assist Bausch Pharma IT with the design, development and deployment of messaging and communication solutions.
The role must have strong leadership skills and the ability to professionally represent Bausch Pharma in challenging environments are required. Understanding of competitive technologies to properly assess feasibility of migrating customer solutions from, and/or integrating with customer solutions hosted on, non-Microsoft platforms is also desired. The O365 Solution Architect will offer a variety of responsibility, from being hands on with our clients at their sites to working with other technical experts and company leadership on developing innovative solutions and solving really tough problems.
This role is hybrid/remote out of the Bridgewater, NJ HQ.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands and assists with enhancing IT customer communication and collaboration migrations in accordance with agreed upon service agreements.
- Designs, plans and performs Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 migrations.
- Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/ 2016 and Active Directory
- Design, planning and implementation experience with Windows Server technologies
- Experience in other messaging solutions such as anti-virus/anti-spam appliances and or applications, archiving solutions, mobility solutions or real-time collaboration solutions a plus
- Responsible for leadership and delivery of project based assignments that encompass system architecture, proof-of-concept and deployment services
- Facilitate and lead client configuration planning meetings and articulate pros & cons of design/architecture decision across a wide spectrum of factors - e.g. latency, storage, startup/shutdown
- Strong customer relationship skills and willingness to lead customers through successful challenging projects which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
- Establish reputation as subject matter expert in assigned technology area
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software design, management information systems, engineering or a related field, desired
- 10 -15 years minimum of progressive experience in technical solutions development using Microsoft platforms with extensive experience in design, architecture, and deployment of messaging solutions
- 3 years minimum experience solutions consulting spanning full-lifecycle technical leadership from requirements gathering through to implementation, transition, and operations.
- Experience with Microsoft and Intune device technology
- Comfortable working both independently and in small team environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document efforts and processes consistently and to industry standards. Ability to prepare and present solution to lay users to C-level management.
- 5 years with Microsoft Online Services (Office 365 or BPOS), highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Azure Domain Services.
- Working knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services
- O365/Azure Networking and security best practices .
- 5 years minimum technical experience in Microsoft Office 365; Microsoft Core Infrastructure (Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 to 2019), Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy, ADFS and MS SSO); Microsoft Messaging (Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016);Microsoft Virtualization (Hyper-V and/or App-V); Microsoft Windows 10 and 7. Microsoft System Center (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM, SCVVM); Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007/2010/2013; Microsoft Lync / OCS; SQL Server
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :
- Experience with PowerShell
- Understanding of Agile life-cycle.
- Microsoft MVP award in Exchange or Office 365 is desired; Other preferred training or certifications include: Exchange Ranger training, Microsoft Certified Architect, Office 365 MCSA, MCSE: Messaging, MCM Exchange
- Experience with MS Lync Voice, a plus
- Experience with Unified Messaging (UM) or voicemail platforms, a plus
- A good understanding and exposure to Microsoft enterprise services frameworks and practices(SDM, MSSP, MOF), a plus
