The Ophthalmic Surgical Consultant (OSC) is a product and applications expert that represents Bausch and Lomb with a variety of internal and external stakeholders regarding our new and advanced technologies, software and diagnostics. The OSC Technology position reports to Director of Technology Marketing for Surgical.

Responsibilities

Educate physicians and ophthalmic personnel on our most advanced and new technologies.

Work with Marketing, Sales and Training to help develop content and train our customer facing personnel about our technologies to better understand how we compare to the competition and how we add value to the ophthalmic surgical procedure.

Be a resource to our practice development and sales teams on high value opportunities.

Attend meetings to help our marketing team refine market strategies, develop commercial messaging, and provide input to promotional campaigns.

Represent our customers with R D and Marketing and provide key input when defining market requirements to help with the product development process.

Help the US commercial organization achieve annual business objectives (revenue and C-EBITA).

Continue to increase knowledge base through attendance at conferences, maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and staying current with new cutting-edge surgical techniques.

Develop effective cross functional relationships with R D, Marketing, Sales, and Sales Training.

Perform administrative tasks associated with position according to company policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in science, business, or a related field.

Minimum of fifteen years of successful ophthalmic surgical sales experience required.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to establish priorities to meet goals.

Highly motivated and results driven.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
