Objectives:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for the successful execution of Bausch Lomb Manufacturing training curriculum. This position will play a key role in ensuring employees and contract staff meet training requirements related to knowledge, skill and practices necessary for their job performance and that they remain prepared to perform assigned job duties and tasks.

Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate, administer and assist with various training to include new hire training, re-certifications, skill training, EH&S, and annual GMP’s.

Ensure that training is completed for all assigned manufacturing personnel in a timely manner. Work with training, operations, and HR to identify any barriers to learning and to help identify potential solutions to encourage successful completion of training.

Assist in the development and updates of training plans for each job.

Responsible for maintaining training records including new hire training, re-certifications, skill trainings, deviations, SOP’s and other quality documents to include filing of training records, testing and observation sign-offs.

Assist in the development of individual training plans, training materials, tests and other documentation needed for the training organization.

Perform trainings as required (i.e. hands-on, Instructor-led, workshops, etc) per SOP, training documents, etc. As needed, provide support training for Validations, Protocols and Engineering Studies.

Monitor operator quality and consistency. Identifies training or re-training needs to ensure operator proficiency.

Responsible for operator Re-certification scheduling and administration.

Coordinate and monitor training completed by Qualified Trainers.

Assist with assessing the qualifications for Qualified Trainers to support shift assignments.

As needed. provide training to Product Analysis, Analytical Chemistry Technicians, Engineering and Quality Technician Support Groups.

Support Enterprise Excellence initiatives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge of adult learning and course design strongly preferred.

5 years of training or teaching experience.

Requires a high level of understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, computer systems, and GMP requirements.

Intermediate skills in design, development, and implementation of training.

Requires a high level of organizational and time management skills.

Capable of delivering training virtually as well as in-person.

Ability to communicate information clearly to facilitate effective learning. This position requires speaking in classroom settings.

Requires high level of attention to detail.

Requires strong interpersonal skills which enable appropriate collaboration with trainees, colleagues, and subject-matter experts.

As required by New York State's pay transparency bill, Bausch Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York State. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For New York State, the range of starting pay for this role is $60,000 – $81,000 annually.
