What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAH Revenue Cycle Manager position at Baxter Health?
SUMMARY: The CAH Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee and contribute to the day-to-day operations on all issues related to the revenue cycle function, provide workload and cash flow analysis, create written processes and train others in implementing a cross- functional revenue cycle team. The Revenue Cycle Manager will manage access, coding, billing, collections, and denial management as well as financial reconciliation. This position is responsible for ensuring claims, denials, appeals and payments are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues. The Revenue Cycle Manager will minimize bad debt, improve cash flow, and effectively manage accounts receivables. This position is to stay apprised of coding and revenue trends.
Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of Hospital Revenue Cycle Management experience required, CAH experience strongly preferred. Minimum of three (5) years in a Management role, managing staff of 10 or more. Experience with hospital physician credentialing and enrollment processes preferred. Prior experience with process development, project experience and change implementation.
Certifications: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (“CRCR”) a plus.
Other: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as medical office software. Proficient Excel experience a must. Knowledge of third-party payer requirements including federal, state, and private health care plans including authorization and appeal processes. Understanding of cash posting, credit balance and reconciliation processes. Experience with CPSI systems preferred.
Demonstrated hands-on progressive revenue cycle, access, coding and billing experience.
