As a Medical Revenue Cycle Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing patient medical records and assigning appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.
- Verifying and ensuring the accuracy of coded information before submission to insurance companies and other relevant entities.
- Working closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff to obtain necessary documentation and resolve coding-related issues.
- Conducting regular audits to identify and address coding errors or discrepancies.
- Staying current with industry coding standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborating with insurance companies to resolve claim denials and appeals.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical Revenue Cycle Management.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification is a bonus.
- In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
